The PKRA has a new wind blowing around, as there are a lot of new investors in the game. A lot of changes, but it stays the World Championships with the best riders all over the world. Roderick Pijls has been training in Brazil and Cape Town for these competitions.
The first round he had to go up against a South African rider and a local Moroccan rider. Roderick advanced in the first, second and third round. In the fourth round he had to compete in challenging conditions. Strong wind for 6, 7 and 8m with choppy water and gusty winds. It was a close heat with good tricks from both riders, however the judges thought his opponent was a bit stronger in these conditions.
Promise for the Future
“At the end I am really happy with my heats. Of course there is always space for improvement, which I will work on. Getting ready for the next competitions and looking forward to have some more good sessions with my new FUTURE kites.”

We wish Roderick the best in his upcoming competitions!!
